Welcome to maple month. Every body should just be getting up and running now, but some are already approaching half crop in western NY. I got my taps in earlier than normal and had my first boil on 2/10. My new 3/16 woods has been a real producer so far. 9.02 g / tap. Hope to make 1/2 g of syrup/ tap, not sure if it will happen because of El Niņo. The sugar % is running a little low also. Got call the other day from a local Polish news paper wanting do a interview with an American pol. Have to set up a time. Well have a great and safe season.

Finished tapping here in NNY yesterday AM. 8270 drilled since Feb 1. All but 2 by this old man. Now if I can get everything else ready by Monday when it is supposed to warm up.

Tapped 1-25-16. Got the first sap on the 27th. 1%. As of yesterday collected 1675 gallons on our 450 taps on vacuum. Will know syrup total when we filter and pack later today. We'll keep going as long as possible. Worried about that coming warm up. Weather in our lifetime has changed drastically. Boiling on a 2x4Mason xl with blower

The sap is running now! 2%. Ron is boiling. Getting dark and barometer is dropping. Rain possible. Trying forvasxmuch as he can get.
