So my first year sugaring I have 15 taps out and have collected 30 gallons of sap and have boiled out 56 oz of some good looking and tasting syrup so now I'm hooked on this hobby. I'm preheating on a wood stove that for some reason won't bring my chafer pan to a boil so I boil on a turkey fryer I have done the math and I'm boiling off just under a gallon an hour any suggestions on how to increase my production without spending a fortune?

Block arch with some more steam pans.

I agree with the steam pans. I also have a small operation using an old wood stove and one pan, getting 2 gph. Next year I am building a concrete block arch with three pans, hopefully boosting production to 6 gph. Happy boiling!
