Blower size for 2x6

I just got an A&A 2x6 drop flue and would like to add a blower. What CFM would be a good size blower for a rig this size? Thanks

Something around 300cfm would be a good starting point. If you have a way of controlling the amount of air your letting in you could go larger.

I have a small squirrel cage blower that is 500 cfm, is that too much or should I try to slow it down some?

That will work. Just cut out a piece of tin bigger than the hole where are goes in. Put in one short sheet metal screw into side of blower. This will act as a movable door. Restricting intake air will use less electricity also. Make sure the screw does not hit squirrel cage.
