Was very pleased with the results and I think once I add air induction it will be even better. I was able to get 3.75 gal/hr out of the unit while using 1/2 dozen pallets for fuel. We boiled off 35 gallons of sap and ended up with about 1/2 gallon of syrup. Seemed to have a ton of water in the sap...

I ended up lining the unit with a layer of roxul and then bricked it with old red brick I had laying around. I absolutely love the flow pan with the preheater and the draw off is a home run........

Found out a good digital thermometer, and a hydrometer are your best friend:o

Already thinking bigger:lol:

Slick rig man! That sounds like a pretty good gph for your size. Better than I'm doing.

Slick rig man! That sounds like a pretty good gph for your size. Better than I'm doing. Thanks guys! It's hard to say for sure but that was my best guesstimate when my fire was roaring at full strength we simply measured the amount of raw sap and timed it.......and kept feeding the fire :)
