do you guys use some kind of clamp like a hose clamp to secure the base of the base stack to the arch collar?

thanks!

Mine has a collar that the stack fits over, maybe an inch or slightly more of an overlap. I drilled holes and bolted it on.

A few SS sheet metal screws should hold it in place

I could not get self tappers to penetrate the steel. With stack all in place I can barely pick it up or disconnect. Leaving it for now. Bolting it sure would hold permanently.

My stack just sits on the base plate. Never been an issue.

You boiling outside or inside? If outside, just have a way to secure the upper part of the stack so it doesn't blow over.

Mine also just sits on the arch--no issues

Gravity holds mine there.

Same here, gravity holds it in place.
