Honda WX10 and tubing needed

I recently bought a Honda WX10 to use for collecting out of 55 gallon barrels and pumping up into a 275 tote in my truck. What type of hose do you all recommend using. I figure I'll need about 25' on each end.

I use the braided vinyl hose, 1" diameter hose. I know the big box stores carry it but I bought mine from a local dairy supply. They also have the hose the milk trucks use. A local farm supply may have a food safe hose also. Or you could use the white, potable water hose that is used for hooking up camper/motor home water supply. But you would have to reduce down the pump to garden hose-size fittings. And then maybe not run the pump at full throttle with the smaller flowing hose??

I didn't think about the braided hose, that will probably work perfect. I was looking on ebay and it seemed everything was 1-1/2". Thanks

The Rollerflex tubing from US Plastics Works great and is food grade.

You picked a good pump. We went with the WH15. I believe your WX10 is a 1" pump, hence the "15" series and mine is a 1.5" pump.

Make sure your hose on the input size is suction rated. Most likely a 1" suction hose won't be too bad to maneuver. Look for the flat hose in 1" for the output side. It will store easier.

Rollerflex 4000 is good from USPlastics. But get the SS cam loc fittings from Pro Flow Dynamics, much better price and fast shipping.

I got braided hoses from Tractor Supply. They are 25' long and the fittings screw right onto the Honda pump.

I used 1" clear ribbed food grade hose from Bascoms for the suction and 1" mainline for the discharge but mine is up a hill to the truck. Make sure to use can locks on the pump (much faster than threads). Also the shorter your suction the faster your pump will prime.

This might be a dumb question but, does it matter what end you put on the hose, male or female when using the cam-locs? Is one way easier versus the other for connecting/unconnecting?

I put the male end on the hoses and the female end on the tanks.

I agree , Male ends on hoses are easier to clean if one end gets dropped in the mud!
