I tapped my 60 taps on 2 3/16" runs today in Erie county. Nothing moving yet, we'll see what the weekend brings.

Hey Jugman welcome to the Trader. Where are you at in Madisonville? I am right off 307 in Covington Twp.

I'm ready! I got all my 350 or so taps in. It took me four days, but I could have gotten done in three, had the sap been flowing. Last year, it took me six days to tap. I had to use a shovel to get small branches off so that I could pull up the tubes.
This year the two or three inches of snow was no problem. The strange thing was that almost every tree trunk was covered with a thin glazing of ice that I had to drill through to make the holes.

Hi Z-Man, meet you last year. I'm a friend of Joe Belmore's. I
live right on 690. quarter mile past the ice cream stand on right, next to ponds. Tap yet? You'll have to stop by for a visit. Sugar shack in back of house.
