I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning, cant sit still.

My friend is making me a tubing tool and has texted me a few pics. Guessing a few more days and he will complete it. When he has time he works on it. He is pretty good and has done other items for me in the past, I have faith.

Here are a few pics of how far he is with it.

I cant believe I will actually have a tubing tool this year !!:)

If anyone that lives close to me needs to borrow it let me know. I hope I can help someone as much as everyone here has helped me.

Had to share this !!

Thanks.

Terry

Just make sure you paint it a bright neon color, so you can find it in the snow. The "Tubing Tool Bandit" will strike!

For those who don't want to spend the money on an "official" two handed tool,
I've started making a comparable tool for a good bit less money.
Here's a video from a fellow trader of one I sold him.
https://youtu.be/1WEves0DRJs
I can make either 3/16 or 5/16.
Send me a message if your interested. Thanks.

This simple little tool I saw someone here made one, is just wonderful. 13138

I am going to use it to attach my drops and also seems to work to squeeze the tube onto my saddles.

I feel like a big boy now with two new tools for this season.

I made some similar last year. You may want to wrap the handles, or like I did, I slipped some 1 inch mainline over them. Here is our video from last year, setting up the bush.

Any chance I could get some measurements on the tool? Length of steel at each weld, and the separation of the vice grips when tool is in the closed or attaching position? If that makes sense. Going to attempt to make one and any bit of info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Here are the pans I gave my friend to follow.
The plans I think I got from this site, not my plans, someone else made these and shared, but my tool works pretty darn good.

Sweet! I'm no welder or fabricator for that matter, but I've got an 18 pack and enough information to be dangerous. I'll try to post a picture when I finish. Thanks for the info.

I see it now. Thanks. I'm actually not far off from the measurements for winging it. Lol

I love this little helper tool also.

Pushes spiles on great. Pushes the drop on after the Tee is installed. I use it lots when putting any fitting on tubing. Trying to avoid micro leaks, so using tools whenever I can.
Simple to make this one.

I think this will work, I don't have the jaws for the tubing on the vise grips yet because I don't know the diameter of the 3/16 tubing yet, still waiting for it in the mail. 😜 Thanks for the help.
