I hope to build a 12 x 16 sugar shack next summer. Am boiling outside now on a 2 x 3 with about 8-9 feet of single wall 6" wood stove chimney pipe. Want to ask if I upgrade to a 2 x 4 or 2 x 5 arch with a hybrid pan, should I run a better grade of chimney pipe or go to a double wall pipe like used on some wood stoves? Also, can a roof jack from a wood stove shop be used? Looking at a 6/12 pitch roof and want to run the pipe through the roof about 2' off center to maintain some distance from the cupola. What is a safe distance to have the chimney pipe away from the cupola? Thanks, Clay
