I looked at the forecast and this weekend looks good so I had the day off and put out all 80 of my taps (all on bags) starting at 8:00 AM. Was nice not to have 2 plus feet of snow to deal with and managed to get them all in by 11:00. The temperature was only 33 degrees and they were dripping like it was 50. Every year seems to be different and this is no exception. Off to setup the RO, rinse out the tanks and setup the cooker. Good luck everyone.

Put the last of mine in yesterday also. Only doing 16 taps. Next few weeks look promising.

I tapped my 105 taps in Watertown today as well, it was cold but most were wet. My 1200 other taps i got in 2 weeks ago and already made over 100 gallons off them in the warm spell. Looks like some good sap weather this weekend!

Needless to say things were a little crazy this weekend. My sugarbush is divided into two sections the bottom was still snow covered and never really warmed up but the upper 45 taps were flowing strong. Collected just about 200 gallons Sat/Sunday and the sugar was about usual for me 1.4-1.5% hope to finish off a good batch tomorrow night before the rain comes in.

Just finished up the 280 gallons from the past few days - all boiled off and bottled (5.25 gallons). So nice to have the sweet aroma in the house again. Pans washed and looks like a day off before mother nature provides another good run Wednesday night through Thursday. Extended forecast looks promising.
