Ice storm

Good luck to all with this storm coming in today. Trees here are frozen solid and we have the possibilty of a 1/4 to 3/8 inch off ice. I just finished repairing a bunch of wind damge and chews. Hopefully we wont be working on ice storm damage. Jeff

Think I am gonna tap before it gets here. Only 200 taps so should be able to get it done

Hoping to tap here latter today providing it warms up some. Right now it it -13 degrees so I would like to see it get up to 20 before I start. I hope we don't get a lot of ice.

Jeff, Ice and wind are a bad combo...add in the heavy rain they are calling for now and it will not be good.

I tapped all my trees that are on vac. Today. Yeah,Mir was -14 here this morning,mi started tapping around noon and it was 14 degrees and light snow.

I would have liked to tap but im holding one more week. There are only a couple days above freezing this week and the trees are frozen solid. it will take a few days to get going i think. I never tap before the 21st and that is early some years for my woods. Hopefully it stays light snow or rain but no freezing rain.
