Everyone's pictures of vac. gauges has inspired me to install some on the new 3/16" lines I'm putting up.

The gauge - Some say oil filled. Do I need to be careful about which one I buy? I can only find them on line and the prices are all over the place.

The fitting - Most are 1/4" NPT. What size barb works best for 3/16"

Thanks,
Sean

My local FW Webb carries them for 4 dollars ish. Should have adapter too. 1/4 inches is what I used I believe.

Hard to find a 3/16 barb. I used 1/4" and heated the line a little. Works well.

I think I got mine from McMaster Carr. They are dry and have a 1/4" port to which I installed a 3/16" barb fitting.

This is what I used. 2" vac gauge from local Lapierre dealer $5/ gauge and a 3/16 to 1/4 NPT fitting from local D&G dealer for $.99.

Unrelated, can you explain what you did with that "T" with the spile stuck in the blank end? Did you drill it out and use it as an extra port?

The tee has a hole to "store" the spile. He just used that hole rather than the one the drop is attached to.

Ah! I see. Thanks.

Sorry about that , the spout should have been placed in it's own tee.
