Suggestions on 12 volt float switch

I am needing a Suggestions on 12 volt float switch for my collection tank. I pump it out with a shurflo pump up to my bulk tanks.
CDL has one for 295.00 and that is TOO much.
I had a couple of bad experiences with the ones I tried to make last year out of old stuff I had kicking around. Maybe some of you saphounds can point me in the right direction.

Look at the ones they use for bilge pumps in boats. They are 12 volt and cost about $30.
