3/4 inch ceramic insulation

Woukd 34 inch ceramic insulation be enough for behind my fire brick and also to line the ramp under my drop flue pan or should I spend the entra and go with 1 inch?

Here's a wishy washy answer. I think you'll be fine with 3/4 but if it's only an extra $20 or $30 you might as well go for the 1"
