Record Multi Fitting Saddle Installation

Ok so I'm adding 50 or so taps around the house this year, so 10 or so new saddles. I use the record multi fittings. I stared installing them yesterday and the install goes fine, I'm struggling getting the 5/16 into the spout on them. I tried using my one handed tool, and my two handed tool with no success. Just can't find anything on them to push against. Mind you I installed probably 70 of these last year, without too much trouble, but for the life of me I can't remember the trick. There has to be a trick. Any ideas?

Dunk the ends of the lead into a thermos of hot water and you can push them on by hand. Works slick when you have no leverage!

Close one side of the two handed tool put the line in the other side leaving a little more than normal sticking out and put the closed end down on the side of the saddle it might take a coupe of times to get it all the way on.
