got a ray's 250 RO and moving it to sugar shack. Need to heat permeate so want to install 110 water heater element into wash tank. Where would I get stainless steel fitting and do they make one that would not need welding or do I just weld it?

Trailguy - I just use 110 SS water bucket heater. Simple and slick.

Or just put a stainless bucket on the dividers of front pan a let the steam heat it up

Trailguy,

I just use a bucket heater from Tractor Supply to heat and keep the water hot in my wash tank on my Deer Run 250.

Trailguy,
Yes, that is the bucket heater I use. It can heat water to 180 degrees, so be sure to watch the temperature of the water so you don't go above what Ray recommends. When I am doing the hot water rinse that he recommends at the end of the day, I have an extra pail of hot water ready and initially let the water continue to run out from the initial cold water flush that he tells you to do. I feel the sides of the towers to see when they get warm/hot, then I switch the valve(s) to begin the recirculate process that he recommends and add the pail of hot water to the wash tank to refill the tank. I then put the one of the pail heaters into the wash tank and leave it there while I do the recommended hot water rinse. This process has worked great for me and the membranes still work as good as new. I have an electronic thermometer with a probe that I use to monitor the water temperature in the wash tank and pail.
