Love it!! LOL. Hard to hold back today when it went from 28 to 58. Must have been a big run. But no freeze for the next 4 days, and then no thaw until..........

this is my first year and had marked 25 trees, didn't know better and tapped 13 over the course of 3 days on Jan 25, had probably 15 gal of sap before yesterday (lots of leaking taps, probably due to being afraid to drive the taps in too far and used a reg wood bit) yesterday I got probably 8 gal. Holding out to tap the other half til after the next freeze cycle and a tapping bit arrives...

I know its just a thaw but I just hung my seasonal lines up and where ever it used an anchor screw the tree was pushing SAP like it was mad at it . Glad I didn't have a tapping bit with me!!!
