I'm looking for a sap selling or buying contract. What have you done to make sap coming in an easy drop off and make it everyone one is honest. Seems a load always comes in when no one is around and not enough sample cups.if your a sap buyer what are your rules. How do you keep all loads accounted for?

They only drop when I'm there and I test the load, clarity , taste and sugar %. I've never had a load come in that was not handled that way.

I agree with Dave they should drop it off while you are there. Maybe they could earn your trust? I prefer separate tanks, (basically so I know my own production) but it doesn't always work that way. I guess my thinking is if they know when I am going to be there making syrup they can bring it then. I haven't had bad experiences myself, but I have heard stories so I guess I am always thinking about the chance of it happening.
All goes through a meter. If I am not here my seller leaves a sample in the hydrometer cup.
