I have a mason 2x3 and want to know if there is anything special to use to hold the pan gasket in place on the evaporator. Thanks

I just place it on the rails, the weight of the pans hold it in place

Thanks, I just was not sure if anyone secured it down with anything while they place the pan on

I once had a small squeeze bottle of gasket glue for installing rope gasket on my wood stove doors. The evaporator pans will do the job, though.

I used gasket on my 2x4 for first year, and after adding my finishing pan I put them right on the rails. Since my blower pressurizes the arch, I run a very small bead of red RTV along the outside edge to seal it. I am sure it gives just a very little more heat transfer. Not very difficult to remove when I remove the pans.

My pan seems to hold it in place just fine on my 1/2 pint.
