Auf and aof

I just built a new 3 by 12 arch I have aof installed already I was wondering if it would be worth putting air under in it too any suggestions are appreciated thanks

Ifyou have great draft, it isnt needed.. but it will help create a hotter fire.

Well I added air today I got to blowers out of a cloths dryer I don't think they are pushing enough air I have two one for auf and one for aof any suggestions? Thanks for the replies and help once again

You need a high pressure blower for the aof. Some type of squirrel cage will work for the auf. Some guys use a leaf blower but you shouldn't need that much with aof. PMRC. has some good info on aof. along with recommendations on blower in relation to arch size. Check out their website.

Aof will need high pressure....I used a wood shop dust collector. 1hp . Way overkill but was under 100 new, plumbed onto 4" easily and worked great.
