Sorry to ask this because I know I read it already somewhere. I just can't find it no matter how I search.

Which 3/16" tubing are people liking more? There's a big price difference between the two.

We are using the dominion and Grimm. Have been very happy with it so far. 2nd year. Have not tried the others. (Yet)

Leader has 800' rolls for around 45 bucks. Being the bargain guy that I am I picked up two rolls to finish my bush. I absolutely hated it. I have roughly 2000' of d and g and 2000' of cdl. I prefer the d and g by far.

What did you not like about it?

Leader tubing smells industrial and is hard to get on fittings. I heard cdl is making an 800' roll for same a s leader.

I love the D&G 3/16 as well. Fittings go in easy and hold strong, grips trees well.

I tapped today and I was shocked when I looked at my 1 year old D&G stuff soft and sagging. The sun seams to wreak havoc on it. I put 1200 feet of leader out this fall and it's still tight and straight. I think the leader stuff is netter for the laterals and use the other for drops.

The leader tubing is really stiff. I like to tighten my runs before I cut in my drops and when I did this with the leader tubing it would slip right out of my tool. It was harder to start the fittings due to the stiffness. It also didn't pey out as easily as the d and g or the CDL.

I ordered two of each, they both have their pros and cons. The leader I used for my longer runs down the slope (less fittings, less sag). I do like the CDL for my section that runs from tap to tap, it is a lot easier putting the tees in and the trees tend to be a little closer so less sagging.

I was talking with a dealer from the up tonight and they told me that cdl's was from recycled plastic and that is why people are having problems with sagging. He also said that a 500 feet roll of theirs was the same price as 800 feet roll from Leader. I have no idea if any of this is true......it's be nice to get some non-biased information once. I was also told not to go with a 3/16 drop and to keep it 5/16 because of plugging occurring in the drops.

I have used all three and think Leader is best for the laterals (and most cost effective for the long runs) and CDL is best for drops (a little more flexible).

CDL lowered their price on 1000' of 3/16 To $65.00 dollars. I am not sure about the stretching issues I had 2000' up last year with no problems. I don't care what kind you get I am quite sure if you pull it hard enough you could stretch it. The leader stuff is much more rigid. I haven't used it but I have looked it over

We have put up 11,000 feet of 3/16 tubing this winter. It was split between CDL(75%) and DG (25%). We liked the CDL tubing fittings better the DG. The CDL tubing worked a lot better in our tubing tool. The DG tubing had a tendency to slip out of the tool. Some of the slip was self induced to to over tightening of laterals. But After we fixed that it still liked to slip some. And the DG fittings had a tendency to "bend" if you did have it lined up quite right. But saying that I would hesitate to use DG. I would use CDL first if I had to choose.
