For this year I finally added a 16' 14,000# GVW gooseneck trailer. To haul it I put an aluminum flat bed on my truck with a gooseneck hitch. I should now be able to haul up to 4 full IBC totes (caged totes) of sap. But then my help graduated college and they got "real jobs" so it looks like I'll be down in taps this year. I'm working on getting the necessary help to get to maybe 1500 taps next year. For however many totes I haul this year, I'll fill one to the top, then another. That way I won't have 3 or 4 half full and all sloshing around.
