Just started sugaring a few years ago with a few turkey fryers and propane in the driveway. 2 years ago I got a hold of a homemade evaporator which made my life a lot easier but I knew right away that it wasn't going to last very long.

This is what it looked like when I first got it and used it:

Talked to a friend of mine who was a welder and also had a new pan made for me from Northwoods in Maine and this is the results:

Looks like a turkey fryer on steroids! Lol.

It looks good. The smokestack overhang is a clever way to avoid cutting holes in the roof. And using the wood stove is clever too.

Rob from Northwoods does nice work! He is building a steam hood for me right now.
