Front syrup pan leader revolution 1/4 npt thermometer angled to the rear so 3'' or 5" gauge will not work. has anyone else had this issue and if so what are you using for a temp gauge? I do not what auto draw off.

1/4"npt to compression fitting. I used it for years with a 12" stem digital, I'm sure you could find a standard thermometer that is also long and set it where ever you would like it.

I got a new set of Revolution pans this summer and had to put in a short extension and the 9" stem thermometer on it. That is what Rick at Sugar Bush Supplies said was needed and he was right. A 6" stem thermometer works for the other 1/4" npt.

I can't see how an extension would work. This would put the thermometer closer to the back pan sap inlet pipe.

Kinda off the subject a little bit but, Do you guys know what the cost of a 2x2 revolution syrup pan is?

kcompo, here are three pictures of how the thermometers look on my revolution pans. I used the 3" faced thermometers.

I'd say if you already have the pan. the simplest thing to do is buy a long stem gauge. On my revolution pans the 1/4" is on the top on an angle like you said. I use a marcland so I'm constantly moving my probe from one to the other every time I reverse
