Before or after the Deep snow?

I was going to tap today but the weather has changed big time!!!!! My questionis is since they are calling for 40 plus inches of snow here. and right after the event the forcast is for go sugar weather shoud i go ahead and put taps in berfore the snow since it is all on tubing thanks

I wouldn't expect much of a sap run after the big snow. The ground is frozen hard and the snow will insulate it and keep it from thawing out. With all that snow around the trees and the ground frozen, I think you would be disappointed with the amount of sap you get. I think a lot of it will be gone by the end of the month.
