That's Funny I was wondering /Thinking the same thing.
Stopped in at the shop to go over a few things. He is waiting on me to finish. I'm going with 2 sliding doors, 10" stack, and I'm going to try led strip lights in it. I think its looking awesome!

What LED lights are you using? I was thinking about using some of these as they are waterproof and heat resistant, but they add up quick and not sure how light I will need.

Hood looks awesome, i'm in the process of building one, my first year with a hood!
Charlie this is what I was thinking. If it doesn't work it's only $9!

I used similar lights on a hood for the syrup pan last year...they work great.
Not knowing what they were made out of...I mounted mine on the sides of the hood so any condensate would drop into drip rail and not into my syrup. Just a thought.
Good idea John! Here is todays update. He came up with a door design and it opens and closes smooth as butter. I can't wait to set this on the evaporator!

Very nice work. I have one being cut at a shop right now. Hope it looks as good, and that it works!
Looks a heck of allot better than my pic and plastic drop cloth makeshift hood haha
