I made a homebuilt RO last season, single XLE4040, and unfortunately it didn't come with a manual. What is standard procedure when starting it up for the year? I washed, flushed and put my membrane in a storage canister with preservitive and the end of last season. What is best practice to get membrane ready for sap? All info is appreciated

Day or 2 at the longest. One of the last things before boiling. Try to wait till taps start dripping.

Do you guys just use tap water for the rinse at the start of the season?
I use water from an old spring, as my drilled well has a lot of iron.
