Going to run some new main lines this winter. Has anyone any experience with the Rapi Tube? Looks like it's a lot easier to work with then traditional main line.

You might want to do a search on this site for Rapitube. Several threads that involve some discussion of it.

We put some up last year. Very quick to install once you get the hang of it. I wouldn't recommend it if you have flat mainlines but it worked great on moderately sloping sections. We put up several sections that are probably running at 1% slope and with the side ties and laterals coming in it's difficult to maintain a constant downhill slope without some sags.

I have 3500' of 3/4 Rapitube that I have used 4 years so far. Very easy system to install. I used 500' rolls and secured ends at each splice with tension grips so not much tension is on splice. Only problem so far is a couple bear chews. One was long enough so I spliced in 12' of new line. No other problems. Love the system.

I figure I have between 1-2 degrees of slope so I'm really concerned I might have sagging issues. You think I should stick to traditional wired mainline?

a buddy of mine used some and he told me it's best with at 3-4% slope

I use the Rapitube method but with Leader 30P. Less than about 3% slope does need more support, either side ties or posts every 20' or so. Since I first tried it I have not run HT wire on anything 1" or 3/4" but I did on my 1.5" TF line.

I did not know you could use just any brand of mainline for this application??
