I'm building an arch out of a fuel barrel I'm extending it 2 feet to accommodate a 6 foot pan. It'll be 7 feet long allowing a foot for the stove pipe. Can I get by with a 6 inch pipe or should I go to 8 inch? Better to ask now than when I'm almost done.

I would go with 8", then when your completely addicted you can go a little bigger and use the same stack. Unless there is a big cost difference, also your stack should run a little cooler the larger it is.

thanks EverybodyI talk to who makes syrup says I'll be expanding in no time. Hmm. and this was my wife's idea. Although so far all she's done is help bottle a little. Mostly so I don't make a mess of the kitchen.

I would recommend 8 inch and 14 feet tall.
