What is the lowest temperature at which you should tap?

Last year I tapped most of mine at below 0 temps its all about technique

We have tapped at 10 degrees

You may know, and my understanding is, that the problem is that the frozen wood is more susceptible to fractures. Technique was mentioned, and caution in avoiding to much radial pressure, which would cause the wood to split at the hole... So don't use a 5-10 lb mallet.
Anyone... Sound right?

I would agree it is about technique good practice is to use a light hammer or mallet with only wrist movement and listen for sound change and stop when you hear it.
