View Full Version : Right or wrong way to make up 3/16" drops?

So I've run some 3/16" tube in the back woods and am now working on making up drop lines.
With the curl that's built into the tube, is there a right or wrong way to attach T's and spouts?
It may sound stupid, but I see the T connection fighting the lateral - or twisting the drop- if I orient it one way but staying pretty straight if I attach it 90 degrees the other way. Same for spouts.
Any thoughts here? Just wondering if there's a standard practice.
Thanks John

I don't do 3/16 but when I make 5/16 drops I face the T at bottom of drop either way and the spout 180' the other way so when you put it on the tree the T faces away from the tree and the spout faces the tree. Then at the end of the season hook the spout into the T. When you tap you all you have to do is avoid kinking the drop line and will be fine.

It makes no difference as long as you don't have kinks. The tap can even go lower than the lateral with no ill effect except you might lose 2" of vacuum.
