IS there a real advantage to having the drawoff in the center or near center instead of on the very end of the evaporator. Thinking about changing mind. I think the heat would be more constant in the center then up front. Let me hear from you Also should add this is on a 2x8 Wood fired evaporator. Always a pleasure to listen to new ideas good or not so good.
Thanks

What kind of pan set are you talking about?
I think you are right about the heat, but not all fire boxes and arches are the same. The more traditional pans have draw offs in the center and now the some are using 3 front pans for an inverted cross flow and the draw off on them is more centered. Some oil fired are even go to firing in the back.

I have a cdl raise flue/ with cross flow plan. My thought was to draw off in the second outlet back.

Got ya so your looking to invert? I would like to do that as well, but my understanding is you need 3 or more front pans for it to work.
