Live pine boards. Rustic but modern I wish I had used em

boards are nice , but metals is forever ( atleast my lifetime anyway) either way you will get it done and have another nice enclosed area on your sugarhouse

I think the boards should outlast you too. The boards on my barn are 130 years old and most are still in decent shape. I vote boards:)

im 29 and ive resided many old barns and tobacco barns with lumber ive sawed on my sawmill i think boards are great, but i also am a sub contractor for a company that installs lester steel buildings so i know both ways work but when im constructing my own building i like speed of install and lack of maintenance steel roofing & siding provides because i work by myself on my own projects with no helper so thats why my opinion is that way myfriend

I think it's more About what look you want, Metal siding Has A cleaner, more modern look, while wood rough sawn looks more traditional. I have seen & like many built both ways.

You could also use T 1-11. That is what I used. You get the look of wood, but with less labor.

I like the look of rough cut and the savings. $500 to side and soffit my 24x36 building. I did the whole thing myself with no help. I put cleats on my walls to nail the rough cut to not much more labor one board a time, but not bad.

I went with lap pine siding off my own mill..12092
Unless you insulate your sides, you will get much more condensation off the metal siding than using boards.

the condensation factor on metal is more the roof, than the walls as the heat and steam rises with steam hoods over both pans i have zero problem with condensation and i believe steam maker is referring to another room off the sugarhouse itself so condensation would be minimal to none
