Arch Board?

I recently moved and I had to leave my evaporator covered with tarps until I rebuilt my shack. The archboard is really damp should I replace it or just put the firebrick back in over it.

From my experience with archboard, I would replace it or better yet, use blanket instead. The stuff gets punky regardless. Blanket seems to hold up much better. You wouldn't think so but it works well behind brick if you press the brick into it when mortaring.

Unless the archboard is deteriorated, I'd think you could just set it up, the heat will dry it out. However, the siding might be rusted next to the archboard. Unless you feel weak spots in the tin it should be OK too. If the archboard is falling apart, then you may need to charge it out.
