Hi All,

After five long months of negotiation, we have finally managed to purchase an extra 50 acres of trees within 15 minutes of our farm. The land is very flat, lots of reds and some sugars, high density of maples - nearly every tree. This will allow us to get out of the bucket habit and actually run a tubing system. I am looking for a tubing contractor who can install a vacuum system before the next season (yes, 2016). I realize that is coming up extremely quickly. I had honestly hoped to have this real estate deal wrapped up by end of summer, but it is what it is. Our financing is a gov't backed farm loan (i.e. a business loan), and our lenders are putting a fair amount of pressure on us to be up and running at capacity for the 2016 season.

We're just north of Cincinnati. We don't get a lot of snow, and tend to be fairly warm through December and early January. We usually start tapping in early January and are pushed out by warm weather in early March. An early February start would still be OK.

I realize that is coming up fast, but if anyone has any contacts for some of the larger installers up north who have the crew power to fit this in and take care of it quickly, I would much appreciate the info.

Thanks,

tuckermtn
