Seems like a pretty basic thing to make, anyone have any luck making a moisture trap?

All I use is a water filter canister and a ball in it.Just have to make sure you install the opposite why that you would if using as a water filter.

I made 2 over the years but I now buy a Sobles water trap, by Ed Sobles. I bought one a few months ago, he sells them for $200. To find them look up Sobles Releasers.

a compressor tanks work great and help add cfm storage i have 2- 42 gals john wood air tanks factory rated for 360 psi @180 degrees . that where factory installed with vac pumps mounted on top in a large greenhouse irragation system to vac remaining water so it wouldn`t freeze. they work great for sap too !!

I built one for my small operation out of PVC and a racket ball and it works great. I may add a switch to shut the vacuum off and let to it drain and releaser reset. It has a small flapper valve on it and autodrains when the vacuum shuts off. I will dig it out and take pictures.
