Bascom run this weekend to get supplies for next season. Wood is all split and ready. Replacing more buckets with tubing. It will be here before you know it.

Hey Maple Ridge,

Don't forget F.W. Webb carries Maple supplies from CDL now. We can have items brought in to any Webb branch in Maine in just a few days, we can even deliver if the order is large enough. Give me a call if you need anything.

Shawn Colbath @ F.W. Webb in Winslow, Maine. 207-873-7741 or email me at shc@fwwebb.com I'll be glad to help. And spread the word.

Thanks.

I just reserved a wood splitter for next Saturday, so it's going to be a splitting party next Saturday! We have about 5 cords waiting to split, so I'm getting some people to help me.

I would like to see it start to cool down. Need to get some frost in the ground and some snow. Finishing up my lines this weekend and finish putting wood in the sugar house.

I hope we have a period of dormancy now. It's going to be above freezing the next couple of days. We only had 2 days of cold weather and now we are on to the January thaw! I wonder if the season is going to be any good this year?

This year is going to be a test for sure, and hopefully we all get through it with a passing grade !! If we were close to the end of Feb. I would start laying up my lines.

We are getting the period of dormancy now! It's going to be cold for the foreseeable future. Hopefully it warms up in February, because that's when I have time to work on it.

I just finished my 8x12 sugar shack and will set up my new 2x4 mason. Anyone know where I can order "arch paper"?

I live in Durham and my evaporator is a 2x4 Mason. I am not sure how many feet I will require. Suga's in vassalboro may be a good choice for me.

My corner of West Rockport has the season starting. Put in 3 more test buckets after last night's freeze, 2 sugar one red. Thermometer's at 38 as of now, and got down to 19 last night. One of yesterday's reds that was dry is going today at 3%, another sugar at 3%, a red at 2.5%, and the rest are at 2%. It's not fast but it's going. Freeze thaw forecast looks good for the next 3 days with a little snow maybe, but two sunny days. Still may hold off on the rest 'till another week or so as I'm just checking the %.

I bought a bunch of stuff at Slatterys after I visited Northwoods who made my new 2x4 pan. They were very nice and had a lot of gear for sale.
