My Father and I cut a couple larger Maple tree down last year. They were trees we tapped for several years. After hearing a little about tap hole Maple and seeing some furniture made from it, we decided to have it sawn into lumber. We picked up the Maple from the Sawyer today. I thought I would share some pics here. Now to let it dry for awhile and then make some stuff. I am thinking a bench and some shelves/cabinets would be nice.

Nice. I am currently making a coffee table top with tap hole lumber. It tells a story.
