I am getting my Lapierre Junior ready for sale and want to get the pans clean as new. I noticed in a D&G user manual that they advise using cold oven cleaner for cleaning off the really burnt on syrup and sap from the stainless pans? Anybody have experience with that? Other suggestions? Thanks

The biggest helper in cleaning pans is soaking time oven cleaner, vinegar, or pan cleaner all work, but letting them soak really helps. I have used pan cleaner and vinegar, they both work well. I initially heat it up to 150' or so and then let it soak overnight and it seems to work.

I sprayed the outside of mine with oven cleaner then slipped a couple of large black garbage bags over it and set in out in the sun for a day. Then used a garden hose to clean it off.
