I was just blessed with 50 acres to tap. This property has 3800 taps with the trees ranging from 14_18 inches in diameter. This will bring my tap count to 7k taps for next season

Congratulations! That's a huge jump. Are you able to spend all your time on it or do you have another gig that pays the bills? As you get in there and set it up, share the details. I'm guessing an RO is in your future, (and maybe a new truck and pumps, and tanks, and...).

In 27 years old and going into my 5th season sugaring. I do this full time now at first it was a hobby but decided this is what I want to do. Be a fulltime sugarmaker. My father helps me out a lot with the bigger equipment ppurchases. We have a 600 gph cdl Ro but we would like to expand it to 1000gph. This really wouldn't be possible without my dad. His a nuclear engineer but would like to retire and make syrup with me. There's a few things we would like to do like get a more efficient evaporator. We really would like 10k taps that way we both can make a decent living off of sugar

if you like your pans, build a 802maple- intensofire copy arch...when we built ours 5 yrs ago it doubled our evaporation rate. Ragged View (member on here) has the rig now...Amber gold has the one we copied.....
