My hobby producer freind also sent me this link for the "Flavour Wheel for Maple Products" Its purpose is to 'Better describe quality and the variety of Maple Flavours. I have been making Stickey Stuff for 65 years and thought there was only one flavor. NOT !, go to the link and read on LOL and thats a double LOL

I've seen this a couple yrs ago. I certainly agree that every batch tastes different, but I don't think I could apply the attributes on the wheel to the flavour of a sample. It's been out for a few yrs now, and I don't see the industry jumping on it. Interesting though. Tasting tea, wine, cheese, butter are all big things in their industries, but those things mostly all taste the same to me.
