So I shared this on sugarbush, but thought i would share it here also. This pump was dropped off at my house the other day after a barn find. I have $0 invested in it and thinking about doing 1 of 2 things with it, but I am having problems finding info on the type 3 pump. I can find info on the type 2 surges. So my questions are....what size is this thing? ( i assume this was a 1 or 2 cow pump) Can you still get parts for these, and where is a good source for parts.
So these were my 2 thoughts
1. fix it up and try to sell to a producer that is looking for a cheap introduction to vacuum in maple.
2. Since it sits on a galvy tank, if not fixable clean, paint, and sticker it up as it would have looked new, find a period correct motor and have it as a neat little show piece.
Any information you guys may have on this is much appreciated.
