I'm trying to get a sense of how common the practice of using nails in trees is in setting up tubing systems.

Not sure about all the choices.

If someone (for example) uses nails on some 5/16, should they check the first box or the fourth?

Then if they also use it for mainline & 3/16, I see 4 possible boxes to check.

(I didn't try to vote yet - but assume you can only chose one?)

Sorry for the confusion. You can choose multiple options. So, if you use nails in trees choose yes and then choose the other options regarding how you specifically use nails in trees. Thanks!

I use nails to support 5/16 tubing when there's no other way to keep it off the ground. I only drive the nail in enough to do the job. You could pull the nail by hand if you wanted. I also only nail into trees with no timber value and have ok'ed it(the practice. not each occurrence) with the landowners.
