Average crop of syrup was about .75 litre/quart per tap here this year in Muskoka ,Ont. My extreme north slope yield only about .5 litre per tap, I made some good dark at end, then it got a slight off flavoured and I stopped- temperatures 50-60 farenheit. Season was over- frogs sang. In the last week it turned cold, froze at least 3 nites, put 1000 gallons sap plus on ground . That's one third of my crop lost- fortunately I have another bush that yielded earlier and much better. Every year for 3 years same performance. The bush is rented at 2.00 $/tap. Next week the tubing mainline will be taken down. Anyone share an experience like this ??

The landowner kicking you out? I'd say $2 is twice too much much to pay. Sorry to hear of your loss.
