In Franklin County that is true. The rest of us pay a 50/50 split.

What bulk price, golden, Amber, dark.....? What do you use for a conversion from syrup to sap? Can you post an example calculation?

Randy ; The bulk price being paid by your buyer or packer . Bascoms top 3 grades today was $ 2.30 lb =11lbs gallon syrup=$ 2.30 x 11= $ 25.30 per gallon syrup. divide $ 25.30 by 2 for 50/50 split = $ 12.65 each. 1000 gallons sap at 2 % (88 gallon sap at 1 %)(44 gallon sap at 2%) = 22.72 gallon syrup x 11lbs gallon x $ 2.30 = 574.82 divide by 2 for 50/50 split would = $ 287.41 each so the price of sap is $ .28741 a gallon.

as of Tuesday Highland was 2.40 lb top three grades. Not sure if they are paying the 3 cents if you deliver more per pound.
