Our process is pretty simple, pump it out of the tank into another tank and repeat.

Noticed yesterday that our warming pan was a bit cloudy, rinsed it out and kept boiling. Sap was still running cloudy into the pan so we flushed the head tank. Still cloudy, so we checked the holding tanks, they were clear so we pumped the head tank full. It got cloudy. Poured a crystal clear bucket through a sap bag filter and it too got cloudy. Washed filter and it mitigated some but still cloudy. Anybody have any idea whats going on here? Sap isnt spoiled and syrup tastes fine just want to know what the hell is in the filter?

I noticed my sap was crystal clear in the bulk tank but after a few days at even moderate 40 F temp is started gettin cloudy but still good syrup and now my collection tank isn't as clear as it was. Even after cleaning them both now with warm 50-60 daytime sap is clouding up. not buddy sap. So not sure it has anything to do with your filter.

Sap will spoil real quick over 40 degrees, bacteria multiplies like crazy
