Just finished bottling the last of it with my new Smoky Lake finisher. Thanks for your Craftsmanship Jim! That unit is well worth the price! For us it was a good season but we are very small. 58 taps . They were in 29 days. 700 gallons of good sap made 14.43 gallons of real nice syrup. Dumped 55 gallons of sap that went bad.Just couldent get it boiled in time. Retiring from my real job before next season so I hope I never have to dump sap again.

All finished in Potsdam too. Made 64 gallons from 250 taps. Spent this last day cooking down the last from the pans and 40 gallons of Butternut sap that I had held frozen. I made 60 little bottles of syrup with a different aroma and feel than pure maple, and I'll have to come up with a "special price" for this stuff....It wasn't easy.

I finished up tonight as well. Made 40 gallons plus or minus for the year on 190 taps. Very dark syrup tonight.

Last boil yesterday, very dark as well adk1 especially compared to the rest of the season.
