I'm looking to upgraded to a new wood evaporator. I thinking I want to go with a 3 1/2x12 or a 4x12. I would like a preheated and hoods. Just want to get my bang for my buck. I'm on a tight budget.

Tight budget and new maple equipment usually don't go together:) There might be good used equipment available? Many equipment manufactures out there from small one man shops to the big boys making complete evaporators. You can pay a lot less at a small shop but need to understand the timing issues getting a custom rig built.
Good luck.

Chris

Shop early and order early if you are buying new. Keep a close eye on classifies and act quick and you can get a lot more bang for your buck buying used. Post a wanted equipment add and you might get some good options.

with the Canadian exchange rate being what it is , Thor is offering a 20 % early order discount.
That makes good sense. Exchange rate is 80% why pay full price?
