I've been hearing a lot about high sugar this year but mine has just been typical. I'm ROing 1.5 now down from a peak of 2.4 earlier. I'm not complaining but it sure would be nice to double that like some seem to be.

My trees ran about "typical" this year compared to how they normally perform. They are large roadside with huge crowns. They gave me 3.5% for the first 2 weeks, dropped to 3.1% for the 3rd and start of the 4th week. My last load came in at 2.5%. I am spoiled with these trees as most don't see sugar this high, but again, for me it was a typical year.

My sap from only 10 trees averaged 1.5 collectively mixed together. I had 3 that individually tested at 2.5, but they were in the coldest, shadiest part of my woods and didn't really put out that much sap. I sure hope this isn't typical...first year tapping...we'll see.
