anyone have suggestions on finding replacement stainless screen material for a 12 X 20" grimm canner? The screen that came with it (bought used- I think the canner is 10 yrs old) looks to be galvanized and is rusting in spots.

looks like some on MSC industrial supply but not sure what gauge wire I need...

the weave of the current screen is 2 per inch.

any suggestions appreciated...

wire cloth
you can buy it from McMaster Carr. I would get stainless. It can be bought in different sizes. In fact I made a pre screen pan for my set up so that I filter all of the coarser material out of my syrup before it goes into the gear pump of the filter press. I think I went with 40X40 for size. Which means there is 40 strands in each direction per inch

Might check with some local hardware stores also as you can usually buy it by the foot.
